Temperature

Fresh flowers are delicate and sensitive to their surroundings.
Keep them away from direct sunlight, air conditioners, heaters, and strong drafts, as extreme temperatures can dry them out quickly and cause wilting.

Avoid placing arrangements on window sills or in areas with harsh sun exposure.
As a general rule, flowers last longer in cool spaces or at comfortable room temperature.

Flower Care Tip 2
Water

Place your flowers in water immediately upon receiving them. Mix the water with the flower food provided—one sachet is ideal for half a litre of water. Flower food nourishes the blooms instantly and helps keep the water clean for longer.

Ensure all stems are submerged in water, but remove any leaves that sit below the waterline, as they promote bacterial growth.

If your arrangement comes in floral foam (Oasis), add fresh water daily from day one to keep the flowers looking fresh and vibrant. Without regular watering, flowers in foam will wilt quickly.

If your flowers arrive in water pouches, please remove the pouches and transfer the flowers to a vase with fresh water immediately. Water pouches are meant for transportation only.

When the water starts to look cloudy, it’s time for a refresh.

Flower Care Tip 3
Freshness

Remove any wilting flowers or leaves and wash the vase thoroughly before refilling.

Add fresh water mixed with flower food. If flower food is unavailable, you may use one of the following alternatives:

¼ cup drinking soda water

OR 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar mixed with sugar

Trim the stems using a sharp knife (never scissors, as they crush the stems). Cut 1–2 inches from the bottom at an angle to help the flowers absorb water better.

Place the flowers back in the vase, ensuring all stems are submerged and no leaves remain underwater.

And finally—the most important tip of all:
Talk to your flowers every day and tell them how happy they make you feel.

Without regular watering, flowers may wilt, and Lily & Luxe will not be responsible for deterioration caused by lack of care.
